Malmesbury Kite Festival
Now in its fifth year. Malmesbury Kite Festival will be bringing you some of the top kite flyers in the UK and Europe. There will public competitions and opportunities to learn to fly a kite. Bring your own kite if you have one. If you don’t have one, our kite trader will have a range to suit all tastes and budgets.
2nd and 3rd August 10:00am - 5:00pm at The Wortheys, Malmesbury
Throughout the day we will have a range of kiteflying demonstrations in the display arena.
Look out for the exciting Rokkaku Kite fighting competition on each day. Rokkakus are traditional Japanese fighting kites. The objective is simple – bring all your opponents to the ground and be the last kite still flying! It usually leads to some frenzied activity from the competitors!
There will also be a kite trader and a full range of supporting stalls, so you will be able to get something to eat and drink on site.
Limited camping will be available on site.
